Equipment Consulting Services, a Division of CVD Equipment Corporation, is located at the base of the Catskill Mountains in the town of Saugerties, New York, ECS occupies a 25,000 sq. ft. facility with dedicated clean rooms specifically facilitized for the most demanding system refurbishment. All ECS employees are OEM factory trained, qualified, and have over 60 years of combined refurbishment experience.

In addition to ECS, our CVD Equipment and Stainless Design Concepts Division maintain Ultra-High-Purity Manufacturing. Stainless Design Concepts. With “in-house” high-purity manufacturing capability and state-of-the-art custom capital equipment engineering, ECS is well positioned to assist its’ customers with specific equipment upgrade needs.

REFURBISHMENT PROCESS
Unlike new equipment manufacture, system refurbishment requires significant experience in determining what can and cannot be reused in the process of reassembling a system or subassembly. To accomplish this, all systems must be 100% disassembled. Additionally, the used system targeted for refurbishment typically has contaminated process residue and must be high purity cleaned before the rebuilding process can commence. ECS segregates the disassembly and re-assembly operations to ensure that there is no cross-contamination. All gaskets, seals, o-rings, gas delivery lines, and process kits (where applicable) are replaced with new OEM specified parts. All gas flow controllers are 100% disassembled, high purity cleaned, reassembled and re-calibrated for specific processes. ECS final tests every refurbished system to meet or exceed OEM final test procedures and specifications. For systems or subassemblies destined for Europe, ECS can provide upgrades conforming to EMC requirements in most cases. ECS encourages its’ customers to “hands-on” participate in the re-assembly and final test of their equipment providing a great training opportunity for the customer and promoting a high level of customer confidence in the equipment.

ECS expertise extends well beyond providing quality refurbished equipment. We also provide turn-key decommission, decontamination, rigging, field install, and startup of ECS provided equipment. ECS maintains full-service capability for all of its’ products and can provide in-situ system audits in compliance with the SEC/N Equipment Index Rating System. Combining forces with its’ CVD Equipment division (capital equipment design and manufacture) and its’ Stainless Design Concepts division (manufacturing, installation, management of gas/chemical delivery systems), ECS truly encompasses a broad base of service and support capability in conjunction with its’ refurbishment mission.
